The end of a relationship is never easy for anyone. Especially, if it has been a long one. There have been the good times - the parties and the after-party. There are times when you have to work extra hard at getting through the mess, and the times you feel squeaky clean.
That pretty much sums up my relationship with my household cleaner- 409.
Pulling it out of my cleaning bucket and hitting that messy spot on the kitchen countertop made me feel as exhilarated as John Wayne probably felt when he released his gun from its holster in an old western movie. Ah, the good times.
Sadly though, all good things must come to an end. And this blog post officially marks the end of my decade long friendship with formula 409.

I have say I was more than a bit skeptical picking it up at Costco. I was even more hesitant using it to clean up after my pooch. But, needless to say, I was very very surprised.
I tried the all-purpose cleaner in the kitchen and on the floor, and what I got was a streak-free clean without too much cleaner. What I loved the best was the coconut-lemon scent that emanates as you clean. A refreshing change from the lingering reek of ammonia, which I was used to.
So, would I recommend GreenWorks?
It is about 99 percent natural (made from coconuts and lemon oil) , formulated to be biodegradable and non-allergenic, packaged in recyclable bottles, and priced the same as regular cleaners.
Yes, absolutely. And, it’s not animal-tested, so, T approves it too!

We switched to this brand about a month ago and I was pleasantly surprised. This stuff actually works! (not true of all green products)
